They take me back to freshmen year of H.S.
“Let me guess, you had a date at the diner? You know two straws…”
Still aches sometimes.
“I spent freshmen year helping the school nurse. Might’ve been more fun scooping ice cream.”
So I was kind supporting her.
“Is your mom okay?”
She sounds like a great woman.
“She was. She appreciated a good milk shake more than anyone:)”
